Many know that these markings are important for something, but the specifics seem indecipherable. Given the amount of construction around town, Seattle’s sidewalks get painted a rainbow of colors. White marks in the distance show limit of construction. The green lines center the sewer/wastewater on the labeled drain. Orange communication and red electric power lines are parallel to show the width of the conduit.
